The Trinity - God As Three-In-One

The Trinity large

Father, Son & Holy Spirit

We worship God as the One True Living God. He is the Creator of all things  -  awesome in creative power, mighty in the natural forces of the universe which he sustains, royal in his sovereign majesty and righteous and pure in his holiness. But we also come to know him as Abba! Father! because that's how Jesus related to him, while he was on earth, and told us to approach God in this incredibly intimate way when we pray to God.

While Jesus was on earth, God the Father referred to Jesus Christ as his dearly beloved Son (MATTHEW 3:13-17).

And Jesus promised his followers he would ask God the Father to send his Holy Spirit to be Jesus in us, after Jesus' resurrection and ascension back to God in heaven.

When Christians pray to God, we pray
• to God the FATHER
• in the name of and through JESUS CHRIST, Son of God & Son of Man
• through the HOLY SPIRIT, who fills us with the resurrection life of Christ

The Trinity In The New Testament

The New Testament gives us a clear picture of God as Three-in-One: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

For example MATTHEW 28:18-20; LUKE 10:21; LUKE 11:1-13; JOHN 14:26

NOTE: Muslims do not accept the idea of The Trinity and think that Christians worship three different gods.
