Your Kingdom-rule Come, Your Will Be Done

Jesus told us to pray and ask God to bring in his kingdom-rule here on earth and for his will to be done in our lives. One way of doing this is to pray A Prayer of Surrender like the one below.

It’s simply saying to God:  “Not my will but yours, LORD. I want to go your way, not my own way, today and every day."

Jesus Gave Us An Example To Follow

As in every aspect of his life Jesus showed us the way. We see this supremely as he prayed to God the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before he was crucified. MATTHEW 26:36-45

"My Father, if it is possible, let this cup (of your wrath at sin) pass from me. Nevertheless, not my will but your will be done."

A Prayer of Personal Surrender

Father, I surrender my will to you today for you to work your perfect will in my life.

Cleanse me, please, of any secret sins that might get in the way of our relationship, and fill me afresh wih your Holy Spirit to enable me to go your way and do what you want me to do. 

May your kingdom-rule come in my life and may your will be done wherever I go today.

I ask this in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
