Worshipping A Holy God

Jesus says: " Father, MAY YOUR NAME BE HALLOWED." 

When we’re talking to Father God, we need to remember he’s also A HOLY GOD.  HOLY   means,  AWESOME, TOTALLY OTHER,  PURE, SPOTLESS, HATING SIN.

A young person at a Spring Harvest group years ago prayed: 

“LORD, You’re Mega-wow!" 

That’s because God is so utterly different from us   -  the word used sometimes is transcendent. He totally transcends anything we could possibly imagine him to be with our finite minds.

God Is A Holy God  -  To Be Worshipped With Reverent Fear

God is our heavenly Father but he is also the awesome Creator God.

Read REVELATION 4 verses 2-11 In these verses we read how the apostle John saw an awesome vision of heaven.  In verses 8 and 11 he says:

Day and night the angels  never stop saying:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power,  for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."

Hallowing God's Name

HALLOWING GOD’S NAME  means echoing the song of the angels in heaven as they sing -  'Holy, holy, holy are You, LORD God Almighty’!
