Trust In The LORD With All Your Heart PROVERBS 3:5-6
PROVERBS 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Faith is not the opposite of reason - they are just two different but complementary aspects of our lives as human beings. Faith involves the HEART; Reason involves the HEAD.
Blaise Pascal, the famous French mathematician and thinker (1623-1662) had an overwhelming spiritual experience of God. He wrote:
• If God does not exist, one will lose nothing by believing in him, while if he does exist, one will lose everything by not believing. ['Pascal’s Wager']
• The heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing.
• In every man's heart there is an emptiness that only God can fill.

Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, North Africa (354-430) wrote:
"Our hearts are restless until they find their rest in You, O God.".......
"Seek not to understand that you may believe; rather believe that you may understand."
These men were emphasising that FAITH involves the HEART, while REASON involves the HEAD.
