When Jesus Died On The Cross
Painting of Christ on the Cross by Eugene Delacroix in The National Gallery, London
He Took Our Place
When Jesus was crucified outside Jerusalem on a Roman cross, one man understood the meaning of his death more than anyone else.
His name was BARABBAS. That's because Barabbas had been due to die on the cross Jesus was crucified on between two fellow terrorists.
Barabbas knew that Jesus - an innocent man - had died in his place - a convicted terrorist.
Jesus said: "A person cannot demonstrate greater love than if s/he lays down his/her life for his/her friend." JOHN 15:13
