Biblical Theism vs Darwinian Materialism

 

The Biblical concept of human nature is at variance with that of modern Darwinian positivism in a number of respects.

The conflict between Biblical theism (belief in God) and the atheistic, anti-supernaturalistic, materialistic ideas of scientific positivism, which stresses the supremacy of observation of the materialistic using the senses and the use of reason as the only valid basis of scientific thinking and progress, may be resolved by considering the concept of STRATIFIED REALITY.

and at the predictably dismissive response by many atheist scientists in the reviews of these books  -  the first by an acclaimed mathematician and scientist; the second by an investigative journalist and the third looking at the one thing Darwin himself had doubts about concerning his theory of The Tree of Life.

The dismissive, and at times derogatory, language adopted by some critics falls into the category of what the Bible calls "scoffers" and "mockers", who have been with us for centuries. We should not be surprised by them.. What is perhaps surprising is that these people regard themselves as serious scientists and only demean themselves and their profession by ridiculing the work of other scientists, many of whom are Nobel laureates.
